Custom-made elastic cord
Elastic cord is a product that we can tailor-made for you so that you can finish your folders, covers of agendas completely according to your wishesWhat's more, our elastics are a product that we make to order just for you. This means we offer customisation to enable you to add the finishing touches to your folders, diaries or covers entirely according to your own wishes.
To order our elastics, complete the request form below. You'll have to make a number of choices when placing your order, such as the type, measurements and colour. As soon as we receive your order form, we'll check the options, delivery times and prices and get in touch with you.
Your elastic is determined by the type required. You can choose from elastic on a roll, customised elastic cord with two barbs, elastic loops and elastic cord in droplet shape. You also choose from the kind of elastic that we use: flat or round. For the round elastics you can choose between Ø 1.2 mm and Ø 2.2 mm. For the flat elastics you can choose from a width of 4 to 5 mm or 8 to 9 mm.
Fill in the desired size on the form. You'll find some advice below for choosing the correct size:
Elastics with two barbs: It's important to be aware that for the custom elastics with two barbs, measurements are made over a distance between the barbs. The barbs themselves are therefore not included in the length.
Elastic loops: Always measure the entire circumference of your folder, including the sides. To ensure the right tension for the elastic, subtract approximately 5-7% of the measured circumference. Make sure your folder is sturdy enough to have an elastic stretched around it without warping.
Our advice is always to test the desired length first. For elastic cord the minimum order is 200 metres or 100 units. In the request form, we also ask what colour you want to order. Elastics can be ordered in many different colours. So you'll need to indicate your colour choice. Use the colour code on the enclosed colour cards for this.
We have a variety of colour cards for our elastic cord that you can choose from. Colour cards 1 and 1.1 have the same quality and colour cards 2 and 2.1 also have the same quality. The difference is that the elastics for colour card 2 and 2.1 have a stronger stretch and a thicker material. As a result, the prices for this quality are slightly higher.
